The site you're now viewing is in BETA, which means you’re viewing the first version - a test site.
Not all of the functionality or content is available yet - we'll be adding more over the coming months.
We've made the website completely responsive so you can easily view it from any device at any time.
Throughout the site you'll see share icons for Facebook, Twitter and email, so you can easily post stories to your newsfeeds and share crime prevention advice with your family and friends.
Our advice section has been expanded. We've also fully integrated the national Ask The Police website into our site so you can easily access more than 950 policing questions and answers. Visit Ask the Police on the Kent Police website.
Building the new site
Before we began our website build we asked members of the public what they thought about our existing site.
The feedback has proved invaluable and has helped us shape the design, layout and content. Thank you to everyone who participated.
To help us make the Kent Police website a positive place for everyone, we've been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, which explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, as well as user friendly for everyone.
We’ve chosen Level AA as the target and are working towards achieving this as soon as possible.
We'll be monitoring the website regularly to improve accessibility, but if you do come across any particular problems please get in touch (see below).
Give us feedback
At the bottom of most pages you'll have the option to tell us if the page was useful and provide feedback. We're keen to find out how you think we can improve the website so please use this tool as often as you can. Please leave your email address if you'd like us to contact you back.
We hope you find the new website useful.
